To place your child on the waiting list, please fill in the following form and then email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively mail it to us at 265 Berwick Street, East Victoria Park, 6101.
When a place becomes available we will refer to our waiting list and arrange for the child to visit our classroom for a morning. This is so we can spend some time with your child and ensure that they are ready for our classroom. All children need to be toilet trained for the three year old classroom before a place is offered to them.
After the visit the directress will decide if the child is ready for the classroom and a place will be offered to the family. When a place is offered, the families will be provided with a copy of the parent handbook and other relevant information to make your child’s orientation as smooth as possible. Our orientation process is flexible and will be discussed with each family and tailored to their child’s needs.
A deposit of two weeks fees is payable to secure the place offered. This deposit is held until the child leaves and is set against your final account provided four weeks’ notice of termination is given.
Child care benefit and Child care tax rebate
The child care benefit is income tested and is based on your family’s income. This benefit is paid to Southbank Montessori each week and then the family is required to pay the balance. To claim this you must provide us with a CRN for the parent and the child and have approval from Centrelink to claim child care benefit.
Every family is entitled to claim child care rebate if they are a permanent resident and this rebate is not income tested. The tax rebate is 50% of the child care fees paid up to $7,500 per child. However in order to claim this you must have applied to Centrelink for child care benefit even though you may have a percentage of zero.
To obtain the 50% tax rebate you need to provide us with a Customer Reference Number (CRN) for the parent and the child (these will be different numbers). The 50% tax rebate can be claimed annually in your tax return or quarterly through the family assistance office.
Our fees are as follows;
Daily $110 per day (we have a two day minimum requirement)
Weekly $510 per week
These are the fees for the year from 1st July 2016. Fees are reviewed every July.
Please note that if your child normally attends on a public holiday we do not charge for that day as the centre will be closed.
Each week a weekly invoice will be issued and emailed to you. It is your responsibility to ensure that these are paid each week. The invoice will be for the previous week.
Payment of fees
Our preferred method of payment is direct into our bank account. Our bank account details are shown on every invoice. Please include the surname of the parent linked to Centerlink in the remitter's details.
